Serving At-risk Youth

Residential Group Homes

Our residential homes provide an environment conducive to learning social and adaptive skills. These homes have been developed primarily for individuals under the care of Eckerd community Alternatives.

At Absolute Care group homes our main focus is to provide clean, safe and friendly home-like environment that promotes normal everyday activities and experiences to the children.  House cleaning, games, activities, cooking, and celebrating important events and holidays are all part of this experience.  It’s important to us all the children feel like they are truly at home.

This service is provided by specially trained staff in homes located in the individual’s community, which allows the residents to attend local schools and participate in community based programs and activities. Each residential home typically serves 6 individuals and provides an array of evidenced based therapeutic interventions to assist our children in achieving behavioral, social and adaptive goals.

Our Primary goals are to:

  • Maintain a family type setting where children can develop emotionally sound and secure.
  • Promote family preservation through facilitating the speedy return of children to their natural family whenever it is possible.
  • Provide children with increased capacity for meaningful relationships with peers, family and adults.
  • To maintain a healthy working relationship with the local community and to establish and maintain linkages and collaborative with other private and public agencies in order to enhance the quality of service provided by Absolute Care and Habilitative Services, Inc.
  • Establish and maintain an array of quality assessment, treatment, counseling and social work service to meet the need of each child, regardless of age or behavior.
  • Establish and maintain a system to continually improve the skill, knowledge, morale and efficacy of Absolute Care staff.
